The pagoda is part of the daily Khmer cultural and spiritual life. There are more than 4,000 pagodas, known locally as Wats in Cambodia which are magnificently built with colorful tiles, intricate patterns and a vast array of bas reliefs.
Angkor Weddings and Events can make arrangements for couples to have a Buddhist monk blessing at the pagoda where by three to nine monks will invoke blessings which have been specifically chosen for the couple for good luck, long life and happiness. After the chanting, the head monk will bless the couple with holy water using a whisk of leaves, then tie a holy string around the bride’s and groom’s wrist for good luck.
Monk blessings can also be arranged as part of the wedding ceremony at a private villa or your chosen venue.
